What can you do to help your child become a competent and enthusiastic reader?
Language development is the foundation of literacy, and it begins in infancy. By using fun and inventive ways to promote your child’s language development, you also spark your child’s curiosity about the written word and a natural interest in wanting to read more. In this show, Marti and Erin share ways to cultivate a love of reading, including having your child create a new ending to a story, illustrate a story you make up together and write his or her own song. Maybe you will find a future Dr. Seuss, Charles Schultz or Taylor Swift!
