What are the most common myths about drinking alcohol during pregnancy?
Too many mothers get a mixed message about the dangers of even a small amount of drinking during pregnancy. Sue Terwey and Emily Gunderson from the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome join Marti and Erin with a clear 049 message – zero alcohol for nine months. Early intervention and support for FASD children are essential, so we hope this show will give mothers the courage to tell their children’s healthcare providers about their history of alcohol use to help ensure correct diagnosis and proper treatment for children showing signs of developmental problems.
