Homework Sanity: A Conversation with Author Roger Wilkinson

If you’re like most parents today, chance are you’ve found yourself questioning why your kids have so much more homework than you had when you were their age. You may question the purpose of assignments or wonder why you can’t figure the work out, let alone help your child. This week’s Mom Enough guest, Roger Wilkinson, is a longtime private tutor who has written a new book on homework, and he has tips and insights on how to know if your child’s assignments are appropriate, how to support your child’s learning and how to approach your child’s teachers with concerns.

At the end of this discussion, stay tuned for this month’s Relationships that Nurture feature with Stephanie Combey from St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development, talking with Marti about how to foster compassion in your child.

Thank you so much for the interview and helping to get the word out there to parents that homework doesn’t have to take over their lives from September to June.
