Why children need a secure base to thrive and grow up well

What can you do to help your infant cry less, be more independent as a toddler and be more cooperative as he or she gets older? Children absolutely need a secure base, which begins in infancy. You won’t spoil a baby by responding to them consistently and predictably.


Throughout development, moms and dads continue to be a child’s secure base, a place the child can return for love, comfort and guidance. Watch as Marti explains how to be a secure base!
