Local author and writing teacher, Kate Hopper, showcases excellent motherhood literature in the 11th Annual Motherhood & Words Reading. Motherhood literature is not about motherhood; it uses motherhood as a lens through which to see the world.
This year’s featured authors who will read excerpts from their writing (while you enjoy snacks, wine and fellowship) include:
1) Judy Batalion: a New York-based performer, comedian and author of White Walls: A Memoir about Motherhood, Daughterhood, and the Mess In Between
2) Shannon Gibney: a Minneapolis writer, educator, activist and author of See No Color
3) Susan Ito: a California-based writer and co-editor of the literary anthology A Ghost At Heart’s Edge: Stories & Poems of Adoption
